Detailed description

A place of geological interest because of the rock formations, this area was one of the first strip of Italy to emerge from the sea.
We will first visit Pula’s mountains, to this day still with a few urban settlements therefore an ideal habitat for animal species elsewhere rare (the hedgehog, the Sardinian hare, the wild rabbit and the fox).
We will cross dense expanses of underwood to reach the oasis of Is Cannoneris and enjoy the sight of the precious Sardinian deer now dying out.
The deer is the biggest wild mammal in Sardinia, and it is different from the Continental one for its darker fur and its smaller size.
