Detailed description

From the starting point Il Remaccio, we will take the path Pula-Santadi to reach, after three km, the side of Monte Santo where there is the homonymous barracks.
The first part of our route is rather irregular and steepish: the road goes up with a series of hairpin bends showing gradually the beautiful cost of Pula. Further on we will penetrate into Is Cannoneris woods where we will have only a partial panoramic view but we will inebriate ourselves with the fragrances of the land.
After the last challenging slope, we will arrive to the base of Monte Santo’s highest top: Punta Sa Cresia (864 m. above the sea level). This is one of the most beautiful panoramic spots in all Sulcis.....the lovely view and a hot coffee will fulfil our efforts.
We will then start our way back, mainly downhill, reaching Arcu de is Cassadoris (629 m. above sea level) and towards Domus de Maria. We will go down the ancient Roman road, rich of fascinating spots and cliffs, to go back at the starting-point.
