Some other information about the pioneers of this means of transport:
1898 Dumont brothers experimented the “livarde landyacht” in the La Panne beach in Belgium. 1907 Willy Coppens of Houtulst builted its first landyacht.
1911 Louis Blériot produce the beach plane. Bertand Lambert reached the record of speed of 151.55 km/h. After the first world war, Henry Demoury start to think about this means in a scientific way creating one very stable and competitive landyacht. In 1964 is born the French landyacht federation F.F.C.V. 1999 Bob Dill and Bob Schumacher break the previous speed record with 187.7 km/h.
